5 Adventures to do in San Miguel de Allende.
We know that San Miguel de Allende is a city to relax, most visitors roam the streets walking downtown and admiring the beautiful architecture in an environment of peace and quiet especially during the week and we really love this lifestyle, but that does not mean that San Miguel is a city to be bored, we actually have several activities for adventure lovers:
As the name says it is a place to meet face to face with adventure itself especially if you’ve never been on a zip line. It runs through the glen of Red Tail Eagle (which is about 150 meters high) side by side on a harness that will make you fell like ypu’re flying, the park has 7 zip lines that run back and forth, most of them about 300 meters long and a suspension bridge that can give you a bit of vertigo. It is a place surrounded by nature which is worth visiting.
One of the most famous tours in San Miguel de Allende is the four-wheeler that takes you to the shores of the Allende dam crossing gravel roads in the semidesert through historic sites such as the chapel of Old San Miguel where the city was originally founded ( fact that few know), visit a different, natural and very fun side of our city. be prepared to get dirty especially if it has rained in previous days. It lasts 2 hours.
Hot Air Balloon Adventure
Another tour that attracts the most attention is the hot air balloon flight, a way to sight see the city from a perspective that you probably won’t see every day, The flight leaves at dawn so it is essential to have in mind to wake up early but it is totally worth it. Emotions come and go from the adrenaline rush. It can be booked in pairs or small groups. The duration in the air is between 40 minutes to one hour.
Book with of friends at Vuela en Globo !
One of the best ways to enjoy the natural territory surrounding San Miguel de Allende is to explore Xotolar ranch horseback riding. Since you arrive you can appreciate how the life in authentic Mexican countryside is. Put on your hat, ride a horse and enjoy, well experienced guides are very happy so they will make your ride something really fun and different, sing, scream and run but do not forget the word yee-haw!
The duration of the tour is about 2 hours riding, about 40 minutes break for lunch plus the way back and forth to the ranch.
And last but not least is the ideal tour for those who want to do some exercise in bicycle,go to the sanctuary of Atotonilco which is a World Heritage Site along with San Miguel de Allende, hence travel in between rural communities filled with semi-desert nature surrounding our territory and finally relax in the hot springs of Escondido Place.
